COURSE

6 lanes; 25 yards in length

START TIME

Morning Session (9-10 & 11-12 age groups) – Warm-ups 8:00 to 8:45 a.m.  Meet begins at 9 a.m.  There will be a clerk of course for morning session.

Afternoon Session (8 and Under, 13-14 & 15-18) – Warm – ups will begin after the morning session is complete but not earlier than 12 p.m.  Meet starts at 1 p.m.  A clerk of course will be available for 8 and Under only.

ELIGIBILITY

Each swimmer must be a full member of the YMCA they represent, in accordance with league and national rules. Ages are determined by the swimmer’s age as of December 1, 2009.

Each swimmer may compete in a maximum of three (3) individual events and two (2) relay events. Deck entries will be accepted on a space-available basis and up to 30 minutes before the start of the morning and afternoon sessions. They will be hand seeded in early heats, regardless of entry times.

ENTRY FEES

Individual events - $4, Relay events - $12.

Deck entries: Individual events - $6, Relay events - $15.

RULES

Standard League Rules

AWARDS

Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in individual events and for 1^st place in relay events. Ribbons will be awarded to swimmers ages 14 and under for 4^th through 10th place in individual events, and 2nd through 6th for relay events. All heat winners will receive special lizard prizes. Team trophies will be awarded for 1^st through 3rd place teams

ADMISSIONS

$4 for Adults; $2 for 5-12 years old;

5 years old and under are free.

Heat sheets are $2 each.

CONCESSIONS

A separate concession area including nutritious hot and cold selections will be available throughout the day.

A DJ will provide YMCA-appropriate entertainment in the gymnasium during the meet. A coaches and officials hospitality room will be stocked with food and beverages.

Specially designed “Laps with Lizards” t-shirts ($14.00 each) will be available during the meet. Local swimwear vendor, Competitive Aquatic Supply, will operate a mobile shop for your last minute needs.

POOL RULES

Our high school facility requests we respect the following rules:

1. No dark-soled shoes permitted in the gymnasium.

2. No shaving is permitted in the locker or restroom areas.

3. Absolutely no food or drink is permitted in the gymnasium.

4. Footwear must be worn at all times outside the pool deck area.

5. Absolutely no glass is permitted on the pool deck area.

6. No smoking is permitted on school grounds.

CONDUCT

Coaches are responsible for the conduct and supervision of your swimmers Please check your swimmers area in the gym before leaving. All swimmers are required to wear shoes outside of the pool area
